The future of housing and mobility

In the first hour there are 2 presentations with Q/A and a short panel. The presentations of the first hour will be in English, but will be translated to French on the spot for the in-person attendees. The first speaker is Bram Vandeninden and the second speaker is Simon Dahy.
Bram Vandeninden is finalising a PhD on the topic of burden of disease and environmental health inequalities related to urban and transport planning and was co-leading the Dutch-speaking candidate list for Volt Belgium for the European Parliament elections. Bram will give an update on European developments regarding mobility and will talk about the need to take mobility infrastructure considerations when building new houses.
Simon Dahy is co-policy lead of Volt France and expert on housing policies, Simon we will speak about the growing inadequacy between our demographic evolutions and the current forms of housing available. He will underline the necessity of advancing toward a facilitated residential mobility, with housingsโ size adapted to the different stages of our lives.
In the second hour there are 2 separate sessions. One French speaking and one English speaking. The English speaking session will be streamed. The session will be a hybrid and interactive workshop on setting the first steps towards an European Volt policy initiative on the domain of housing and mobility, such as writing a statement, opinion piece/op-ed or a policy roadmap initiative.
Context
This is an European thematic community event of Volt Europa. Thematic communities facilitate online policy discussion, will be a landing place for many grassroots initiatives across Europe, support policy teams on all levels of Volt with expertise and writing election programmes, and much more.
