Farmers with or without borders: Volt EP vision & local borderstories
Volt envisions a Europe with closer cooperation, where our political association and representatives can effectively support Europeans, who live and work amongst others in border regions. Much of Europe's borderland is rural and has many individuals employed in the agrifood sector, while the EU has a big influence on rural areas with agriculture and cohesion policy. It is therefore important to understand the challenges farmers face at borders and to identify whether these situations vary across borders or share common issues.
This session on the 28th of June, from 14:30-15:15, will provide a brief introduction on Volt's past and current initiatives in agriculture, including the EUR Volt agrifood vision launch and current efforts by our representatives. We will then hear from two Dutch and two German guests who work as farmers or within the supply chain. These individuals will share their personal experiences and insights on the challenges and positive developments they see within their (eu)regions.

This is an European thematic community event of Volt Europa.
