HR Co-Lead volunteer (f/d)
About Volt Europa
Volt Europa is the first pan-European, progressive, and pragmatic political movement, aiming to build a united and democratic Europe. We operate on Teal Organization principles, replacing rigid corporate hierarchies with a decentralized network built on self-management, authenticity, and subsidiarity.
Focus & Mission
As our new HR Co-Lead, you will oversee and empower Volt Europa’s most valuable asset: its people. You will co-lead a cross-border, volunteer-driven network dedicated to strategic recruitment, onboarding, volunteer activation, tech integration, and organizational culture.
Your primary function is servant leadership: removing operational roadblocks, setting clear expectations, and helping our specialized sub-teams structure their work to grow and scale.
Time Commitment: Circa 10 hours weekly (flexible depending on organizational needs and personal periods).
Location: Remote.
Reporting Line: Directly collaborating with your fellow HR Co-Lead and maintaining contact with the General Secretary.
Core Responsibilities
Sub-Team Scaling & Work Structuring
You will support and coach our specialized sub-teams, helping them set expectations and structure their processes:
HR Volunteer Activation: Guide the end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding workflows for volunteers.
HR Vacancies: Support the posting of clear, attractive volunteer roles across internal and external platforms.
HR Tech: Act as a sounding board for the rollout of technical HR tools, such as our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
HR Creators: Oversee the production of visual materials and e-learning resources.
HR Intern Support: Support mentors guiding Volt’s interns, helping unblock administrative workflows with the Treasury team.
Departmental Enablement
Growth Support: Continuously evaluate HR processes to identify bottlenecks and strategically manage team expansion.
Community & Governance: Maintain coordination with the General Secretary and national chapters, while actively fostering an informal, highly supportive, and inclusive community.
About You
Experienced Leader: You have a solid background in leading and scaling teams, ideally with experience managing volunteers or remote networks.
Proactive & Committed: You don't wait for tasks to be assigned; you actively spot gaps, propose structural solutions, and maintain consistent commitment.
Highly Empathetic Communicator: You are an active listener and a naturally social, warm person. You are highly comfortable welcoming newcomers and representing Volt's culture.
Comfortable with "No": You can deliver tough decisions (like declining an applicant or redirecting an idea) with extreme empathy, keeping people motivated even when they don't get exactly what they wanted.
What We Offer
A Pan-European Network: Direct collaboration with a passionate, cross-border community of progressive citizens.
Direct Systemic Impact: Build the operational human foundation that allows Volt to run in elections and shape European policy.
Strict Right to Disconnect: We respect offline boundaries. Your well-being and personal life always come first.
