Right to Housing! Documentary Screening and Discussion
With some of the highest residential property prices in Europe, Luxembourg exemplifies how financialised real estate markets alienate working people and younger generations. To challenge global real estate speculation, Volt is driving an EU-wide campaign alongside House Europe! to declare housing a fundamental right. Through a European Citizens' Initiative (ECI), we are organising citizens across Europe to demand binding EU measures, such as long-term rent affordability guarantees and an EU Housing Agency.
Join us for an evening combining film and conversation about Europe’s housing crisis. Housing expert Lucia Bastorolo will introduce the European Citizens’ Initiative on the Right to Housing and its ambitions, followed by a screening of the documentary Push. The evening will conclude with an open discussion where participants can reflect on the film, exchange perspectives and discuss what needs to change.
