Workplace Moderators (Unpaid)

We are looking for moderators for Workplace to ensure a respectful and open atmosphere on Volt's internal platforms. The moderators help to offer a positive and safe digital experience for all of our members and create a community where members can be enriched and learn from each other.

About the position 

The moderators will  work in a team that reviews and acts on reported content in EUR Discussions.  . You will further test the current guidelines by implementing them and evaluate how they work in practice. You will be an integral part of improving our online discussion space. You will work closely with the Community Co-leads and the General Secretarys Office (GSO). Your work will consist of:

  • reviewing reported content, you are encouraged to coordinate with national moderators as well as following the general discourse and tone of communication

  • reaching out to authors of reported content to see if they can reformulate their posts in a more respectful and constructive way

  • Reaching out to people who reported content to understand context

  • Deciding how to respond and react to reports based on our moderation guidelines

  • Reviewing the current guidelines and providing input to the GSO and board how to improve them  

You will

  • Gain moderation and leadership experience in a digital environment

  • Have the opportunity to further develop your communication skills in a multicultural setting

  • Receive training on communication and how to de-escalate heated online discussions


  • know how to keep your calm and approach situations in a constructive way

  • are sensitive to cultural differences

  • are empathetic and know how to bring people together in a digital setting

  • are comfortable taking decisions

EUR Community Co-Lead – European collaboration (f/d)

The vision of the EUR Community Team is „to build a European society of dignity, equality and fairness by guiding our community members to yearn to fulfil their vast potential and contribute it towards our shared future.“ 

The task of the EUR community team is to connect our members across Europe and inspire them to work on our shared future together. One of our tasks to make this possible is to empower local community teams to learn from each other by harmonising our approaches, sharing best-practices across Europe and teaching new community leads to understand and become more effective in their roles. 

What is waiting for you: 

  • You will work with the two other Co-Leads (strategy and diversity) and a fantastic pan-European Team

  • You will focus on two important tasks:

1)  further develop our community framework with best community practices across Europe and empower new local community leads across Europe by sharing those best practices so we harmonise our approaches across Europe

2) you further develop the EUR community team by organising regular calls with the core team, the project teams, and chapter leads to keep volunteers engaged with various aspects of community work and strengthen the bonds with national community teams

  • You will build networks with stakeholders all over the movement to further establish and implement community topics (Member database, Community Hub, Re-Value Volt framework, moderation guidelines, Pledge inclusive Volt, and future platform development)

  • You will lead the development of an HR framework for paid EUR employees. 

What experience and competencies you should have:

  • Proactive personality to reach out to people and communicate the value of harmonised approaches across Europe and leading the relevant initiatives 

  • Community organising skills and be a good communicator who can also listen 

  • Experience with international work in HR settings

  • Knowledge on how to build, organise, facilitate and structure teams and projects 

  • A strong sense for fairness, inclusion and integrity in your everyday work 

  • Taking responsibility and assuming decisions based on inclusive community standards

Champion Google Suite (Drive, Sites, Currents) for EUR Community Team (d/f/m) - 2 positions

Intention of the position

The Champion google suite will enhance the collaboration and knowledge sharing between the EUR Community team and all community teams within Volt. For defined use cases the champion will advise what G.suite solution best to use, lead the set-up of the solution and teach the users how to use and improve it continuously. 

What’s waiting for you: 

  • You advise the entire team on the best approach to utilize on the possibilities of G.Suite (drive, sites, currents)

  • You are responsible for the set-up of the proposed solution

  • You are the “go-to” person with in team when there are any problems / ideas / questions around how to use the G.Suite 

What competencies you should have:

  • Good knowledge of the possibilities of the Google suite (drive, sites, currents) 

  • Experience in setting up different solutions / approaches within the G.Suite

  • Understanding of information and knowledge sharing 

  • Experience in supporting people to structure their thoughts and ideas to create a structure / solution in G.Suite

Champion European Onboarding  (d/m) - 1 position

Intention of the position

The Champion european onboarding is responsible to build and sustain the Volt spirit and culture to our new members. The european onboarding is a parallel activity to the local onboarding with the benefit of connecting new people around europe and integrate them in relevant communities. 

What’s waiting for you: 

  • You engage in a small team within our EUR Onboarding circle 

  • You are a key person to shape the culture within Volt

  • You can test different methodologies towards onboarding and create our good practices

What competencies you should have:

  • Great listening skills and the ability to empower people
