Reinier is 34 years old, lives in Amsterdam and has led Volt Europe as co-chairman for the past four years.
In December 2017, he met a French, Italian and German who told him about their idea for a European party. He believes in the idea of a decisive, just and sustainable Europe that Volt wants to create. That is why he quit his job as a supermarket manager to make Volt, in the Netherlands and in the rest of Europe, a success.
In the European Parliament, he wants to make real progress and will tell the party's powerful ideal: "The war in Ukraine and growing nationalism, show that our mission is more important than ever".
