Kai was elected to the German city council of Braunschweig in September 2022. He will represent Volt for five years as chairman of the council group Die FRAKTION. - DIE LINKE., Volt & Die PARTEI in the Braunschweig city council and is a member of the Mobility, Planning and Economic Affairs committees.
He is also a member of the supervisory board of Stadtbad Braunschweig Sport und Freizeit GmbH, the working group on citizen participation and the steering committee of the Mobility Development Plan.
Kai is keen to bring his experience at the municipal level to the European Parliament. He is committed to political participation and sustainable mobility.
