Russian Attacks in Poltava: Volt Europa Calls for Stronger Military and Humanitarian Support for Ukraine

Volt Europa is horrified to learn about the recent Russian missile attack on the city of Poltava, which killed over 50 people and left over 200 others injured. This act of violence is yet another example of the atrocities being committed by Russia in its ongoing war against Ukraine. Volt Europa strongly condemns this barbaric attack and calls for immediate and comprehensive support for Ukraine.

Volt Europa demands that the European Union and its allies step up military aid to help Ukraine protect itself and its citizens from further Russian aggression. Furthermore, we urge the EU to enhance humanitarian support for those affected by the war, providing essential aid to civilians and ensuring safe evacuation routes from conflict zones. The EU must also take immediate steps to increase sanctions on Russia and expand its accountability measures for war crimes.

"As a Ukrainian, my heart is broken after Russia was once again allowed to launch its ballistic missiles, killing over 50 people and injuring over two hundred more innocent civilians in Poltava. [...] Ukraine must be allowed to defend itself with every tool at its disposal, AND MORE. We cannot stand by while such atrocities occur."
