Our Mission: To accelerate Volt's journey to become the #1 political movement in Europe by building, securing, and supporting the technological backbone for all our Volters and chapters. We don't just use tools; we build the future of political collaboration across the continent.

What You'll Be Doing (Our Key Objectives)

We are looking for passionate individuals to help us meet the following challenges and objectives. Your skills could fit into one of our specialized subteams: AI, Core App, Helpdesk, Infrastructure, Security, or Website.

• 🛠️ Build & Maintain our Core Systems:

  • Developing, maintaining, and providing support for mission-critical internal tools like Volt.team (membership management) and Tusker (email campaigns/live events).

  • Identifying user needs and developing effective solutions, as well as providing workshops and enablement sessions for teams.

• 🤝 Provide First-Line Support (Helpdesk):

  • Serving as the first stop for all tech issues, providing direct assistance to members and teams (local, national, and European level).

  • Tasks include recovering account access, managing Google Groups, assisting with mailings/online events, and handling technical aspects of membership administration.

  • Managing access, documentation, and provisioning for external tools like Google Workspace and Haiilo.

• 🛡️ Secure Our Digital Assets (Security):

  • Protecting Volt's data, systems, and infrastructure from cyber threats by implementing and enforcing robust security policies and measures.

  • Raising cyber awareness across all staff and volunteers and limiting our overall attack surface.

• ☁️ Manage Infrastructure & Reliability (Infrastructure):

  • Managing, securing, and monitoring the servers and infrastructure that host our self-built and open-source solutions, ensuring stability and performance.

  • Creating and checking regular backups and supporting other teams with their infrastructure needs.

• 🌐 Manage & Evolve Our Platform (Website):

  • Supporting, maintaining, and improving all live web-sites, ensuring a stable and user-friendly platform.

  • Assisting chapters in migrating to the Volt Europa content management system.

• 💡 Innovate & Enable (AI / Research):

  • Exploring how AI can ethically and meaningfully empower Volt members and teams in new ways.

  • Researching, proposing, and defining best practices for cutting-edge software tools to improve communication and collaboration across all levels of Volt.
