Finance Co-Lead (female/diverse)

As a Finance Co-Lead, you  will  be in charge of creating and reviewing key financial documentation of Volt Europa and overseeing the compliance of national chapters (70% of time spent).In addition, you will develop a comprehensive compliance strategy and procedures (20% of time spent). Lastly, you will be leading and empowering other members in the Finance team and work with motivated volunteers (10% of time spent).

Purpose of the Finance team: The Finance team supports the Volt Europa Treasurer in working towards financial sustainability while finding innovative solutions to complex problems. They are responsible for key accounting and reporting activities as well as strategic financial management and the assurance of compliance within the organisation.  

Purpose of the position: The Finance co-lead is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive compliance strategy and procedures. The co-leads, as close advisors and supporters of the Volt Europa Treasurer, also have oversight of strategic financial planning and budgets.

Experience & Skills: 

  • English language fluency (written and spoken)

  • Finance and accounting skills

  • Collaborative, team orientated approach

  • Professional experience in audit, accounting or financial services (optional)

  • Experience in managing teams (optional)

Volt Europa has resolved to have all its teams be led by gender-balanced co-leads, this

Reporting to: Johannes Heinrich (Treasurer)

Working together with: Christophe Quirynen (Finance co-lead) and many motivated volunteers 

Hours: this is a volunteer position with approx. 10 hrs per week, flexible schedule

Fundraising Co-Lead (male/diverse)

  • Co-own and grow Volt’s fundraising income streams

  • Execute the European fundraising strategy, together with the national party chapters

  • Establish a professional, volunteer-based fundraising organisation, with a focus on donor acquisition and development

We do this by winning, growing & retaining donors in an ethical way, be it crowd donors, large donors (wealthy individuals & businesses), or foundations. 

Your experience & skills

  • Sales experience, ideally with fundraising experience in a political party or non-profit organisation

  • Track record of meeting or exceeding targets

  • Ability to build rapport by understanding donor and stakeholder needs to establish strong relationships

  • Is persuasive and has the ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels

  • Proven ability to establish, mentor, and coach a sales team 

  • Is driven, motivated and a self-starter

  • English language fluency (written and spoken)

We are responsible for generating a sufficient, sustainable, and diverse income to fund our 2024 EU Election Campaign. We do this by winning, growing and retaining donors in an ethical way. The fundraising team focus crowd donors, large donors (wealthy individuals & companies) or foundations. 

The work involves a wide variety of skills such as sales & relationship management, content production, online / offline marketing, EU grant application management, supporting national fundraising efforts, partner and supplier management.
