What are Volt's political goals? / A thriving EU with renewed legitimacy

Establish independent European authorities to support the application of EU law

  • Work in collaboration with representatives from Member States, researchers and civil society.

  • Issue guidance and binding decisions on the application of the horizontal legal framework and on any legislative (vertical) proposal that stems from it.

  • Oversee the application and cross-border enforcement of the regulation, adopt opinions to ensure the consistency of application of the regulation by the national supervisory authorities and act as a dispute resolution body.

The 5+1 Challenges

Volt has defined 5+1 fundamental Challenges that need to be tackled in each European country and in Europe as a whole.

Why 5 + 1 Challenges?

The 5 Challenges are basically the same for every country, but their implementation can be adapted on the national level to take into account local realities.
