volunteer position
Our EUR HR Tech Implementation Team is looking for volunteers to support the further development of an HR Application Tracking and Skills Management System.
We are currently in a major transition phase. Our goal is to modernize how Volt Europe manages memberships and human resources. We are moving away from manual spreadsheets and implementing a robust Applicant Tracking System (ATS) based on our membership management software CiviCRM. Frontends and application forms are being created with Drupal, connected to CiviCRM data and workflows.
It would be ideal if you have experience with CiviCRM or similar highly configurable CRM or case management systems. We are particularly looking for someone who understands how to translate business requirements into system concepts and how to configure these concepts effectively in business applications. A solid understanding of database logic, data structures and general system functionality is highly valued.
You will reinforce a team with top motivated people. We are working from different countries and different cities. Your tasks can be carried out remotely.
A first version of our Application Tracking and Skills Management System is developed in close cooperation with Volt Europa’s HR and Tech teams.The next phase focuses on improving workflows, forms, usability and system configuration, while preparing future adaptations for other national chapters.
Your tasks
Assist in analysing business situations to identify and analyse problems and opportunities.
Help translate functional requirements into pragmatic system concepts and configurable solutions.
Contribute to the configuration and further development of CiviCRM-based processes, data structures and workflows.
Support the design and improvement of Drupal-based frontends, application forms and input masks.
Bring in a UI/UX perspective to help make forms and user interactions simpler, clearer and more intuitive.
Design, test, document and improve selected technical components, scripts and configurations in CiviCRM, Drupal and related web tools.
Apply standards, tools and security measures to achieve a well-engineered result.
Monitor and report on progress. Identify issues related to software development activities. Propose practical solutions to resolve the issues.
Collaborate in reviews and ongoing coordination with HR and Tech stakeholder
Ideal qualifications
Experience with CiviCRM, Drupal or similar configurable CRM, CMS or case management platforms
Ability to translate business requirements into concepts, configurations and structured system changes
Good understanding of database logic, data relationships and system behaviour
Experience with web frontends, forms, input masks and usability improvements
Ability to work independently in a remote and international environment
Awareness of security, confidentiality and data protection principles
You should be able to invest a minimum of 4-10 hours per week in the job.
