EOO SPARK coordinator/lead (f/m/d)
Are you as passionate about Europe as we are?
Do you get energised by looking beyond national borders and collaboration across Europe?
Do you have what it takes to turn good connections into real impact?
You are invited to apply! It does not matter what the colour of your skin is, which gender you identify with, whether you have a disability, who you love, what you believe in. We believe the power of diversity achieves better results for our society at large. We can only be the inclusive political movement we aspire to be, if we represent different voices and perspectives in our society.
Do you want to contribute to Europe's future?
Volt stands for a united and federal Europe, where everyone has equal opportunities to fulfil their unique potential. We strive to achieve the highest human, environmental, social, and technological development together. We are a pan-European political movement with 360 elected representatives across Europe, including 5 members of the European Parliament, over 30,000 members and hundreds of volunteers who work hard to make our vision a reality.
What does our team do?
The European Officials Office connects and supports Volt Officials at all levels - city, regional, national and European - fostering communication between them, the party, and the European (or national/regional/local) Board. We assist in everything they encounter as a politician, like coordination and liaison, internal and external communication, coaching and training, policy, and other key deliverables.
Purpose of the position
Volt is growing fast, and so is our network of high-level supporters, experts, and friends across Europe. SPARK is how we turn that momentum into something lasting.
SPARK is there to identify, engage, and mobilize high-potential (ex-)politicians, experts, and external contacts (“Sparkians”) in support of Volt’s growth and the Europarty Project (EUPP). As SPARK Coordinator/Lead, you will give this initiative the dedicated leadership and continuity it needs: turning ad-hoc outreach and one-off events into a coordinated, sustainable process for onboarding, engaging, and converting high-value contacts into Volt members, Volt Friends, or active EUPP allies.
What will you do?
As a SPARK Coordinator/Lead in the European Elected Officials Office, you will have the following tasks:
Lead and coordinate the SPARK project: set priorities, keep work on track, and act as the main point of contact for SPARK within the EOO and towards other teams;
Build and maintain the SPARK / Sparkian database: profile VIPs, experts, and other high-value contacts, and keep their status and engagement history up to date;
Plan and run SPARK events (such as the SPARK networking event at the General Assembly) together with the EOO, Partnerships, and Fundraising teams, including invitee strategy, programme, budget, and on-site coordination;
Coordinate with National and European Boards, MEPs/MPs, and other Elected Officials to source leads and match Sparkians with the right Volt counterparts (buddy system);
Design and assign tailored mobilization activities for Sparkians (e.g. speeches, testimonials, interviews, advocacy) and track follow-up so leads are converted into Volt members, Volt Friends, or active EUPP allies;
Set up regular check-ins (online or in-person) with Sparkians and evaluate the impact of SPARK activities and events; and
Help grow and structure the SPARK team, including recruiting additional volunteers as the project expands.
What skills do you need to excel in this role?
Research shows that (oftentimes) female candidates only apply when they meet 100% of the requirements, while male candidates do so when they meet just 60%. We explicitly encourage everyone to apply: you don’t have to tick every box to apply. We mainly consider your potential and motivation!
Be a team player and networker;
English is the primary working language, and multiple languages is an advantage;
A self-starting attitude is helpful
You are (or willing to become) a member of Volt;
Be a team player and networker;
