The Elected Officials Office supports all Volt mandate holders (Elected Officials) across Europe with coordination and liaison, internal and external communication, poicy, and other key deliverables.

The EUR Elected Officials Office connects and supports all Volt Elected Officials at all levels - city, regional, national and European - fostering communication between them, the party, the European (or national/regional/local) Board. We also ensure collaboration with key teams like policy, communications and tech.

Role description

We aim to connect Volt's Elected Officials across Europe and build a truly pan-European community. Our community builders proactively foster collaboration, encourage discussions, and facilitate information sharing. The Elected Officials Office also gathers input from Officials across various contexts and topics, ensuring smooth coordination of these processes.

As a Community Builder, your tasks include:

  • Are strong team players and networkers;

  • Initiating and guiding thematic discussions;

  • Supporting the organisation of EO Summits (1-2 times a year);

  • Developing plans for efficient information sharing among Elected Officials;

  • Assisting with pan-European Advocacy projects.

Practical information

  • Term length: No official term length is stated, although we are looking for someone to hold this position for a longer period of time.

  • Availability: Approximately 2-6hrs per week, with a flexible schedule. You will be working remotely.

  • Remuneration: This is an unpaid position.

What we look for

Suitable candidates:

  • Are strong team players and networkers;

  • Are fluent in English (additional languages are a plus);

  • Have experience organising calls, facilitating conversations, etc. (not required, but preferred);

  • Have experience in political work (not required, but preferred).
