The Elected Officials Office supports all Volt mandate holders (Elected Officials) across Europe with coordination and liaison, internal and external communication, poicy, and other key deliverables.

The EUR Elected Officials Office connects and supports all Volt Elected Officials at all levels - city, regional, national and European - fostering communication between them, the party, the European (or national/regional/local) Board. We also ensure collaboration with key teams like policy, communications and tech.

Role description

With around 200 elected officials around Europe, Volt has a unique opportunity to drive change. To harness this potential, we organise 'pan-European Advocacy projects', where Elected Officials collaborate with concrete policy initiatives on common themes. As the Projects Coordinator, you will facilitate the projects, organise calls, follow up on action points, and (find and) include relevant stakeholders.

As a Pan-European Advocacy Projects Coordinator, your tasks include:

  • Are strong team players and networkers;

  • Identify relevant project topics with the team;

  • Facilitate projects from idea to execution;

  • Coordinate with Elected Officials, Volt experts, the communications team, and others to ensure project success;

  • Communicate with all relevant stakeholders during the projects.

Practical information

  • Term length: No official term length is stated, although we are looking for someone to hold this position for a longer period of time.

  • Availability: Approximately 2-6hrs per week, with a flexible schedule. You will be working remotely.

  • Remuneration: This is an unpaid position.

What we look for

Suitable candidates:

  • Are a strong team player and networker;

  • Are fluent in English (additional languages are a plus);

  • Have experience in political work (not required, but preferred);

  • Have experience managing multi-stakeholder projects (not required, but preferred).
