Chapter Fundraising Project Manager & Strategic Consultant (Volunteer)

Volt is a pan-European political movement dedicated to a united, democratic, and progressive Europe. We are active in over 30 countries, and our fundraising drives support both national campaigns and cross-border growth. This role will power up our capacity to train, support, and mobilize fundraising teams in every chapter.

Role Overview

We’re seeking an experienced project manager with strong interest in fundraising and a collaborative, hands-on style. You’ll combine strategic consulting with operational backbone, designing and leading practical fundraising training, supporting chapters 1:1, tracking progress, and ensuring every strategy gets translated into action.

Location: Remote (Europe)

Time Commitment: ~5–20 hours/week (flexible, depends on candidate and agreement)

Reports to: Volt Europe Fundraising Leadership

Works with: National chapter teams, external fundraising experts, volunteers, and core ops staff

Key Responsibilities

Essential – Must-Do Tasks:

  • Organize Monthly Fundraising Training Calls:

    • Plan and run monthly, practical all-chapters calls with a rotating roster of internal and external fundraising presenters.

    • Coordinate invitations, reminders, and target audiences (beginner/advanced).

    • Ensure calls are actionable, recorded, and materials are uploaded to Volt’s resource hub (Haiilo).

  • Lead Quarterly Chapter Support Check-Ins:

    • Schedule and facilitate quarterly 1:1 (or group) check-ins with up to 10 national teams requesting focused support.

    • Help teams set fundraising goals, unblock obstacles, and track action items.

  • Project Management & Follow-Through:

    • Maintain a master project plan (e.g. Asana or spreadsheet) to track training, check-ins, resource updates, and deadlines.

    • Assign and follow up on tasks for all project contributors, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Resource Hub & Practical Support:

    • Keep Volt’s digital resource hub updated with new templates, guides, and session recordings.

    • Respond quickly to chapters’ requests for specific tools or support.

  • Basic Metrics & Feedback:

    • Track fundraising activity, team size, and training attendance for all chapters engaged.

    • Collect post-event feedback and use insights to improve programming.

Additional Strategic/Consulting Tasks:

  • Facilitate fundraising strategy workshops with chapters, helping teams build sustainable plans using best-practice tools (SWOT, donor mapping, etc).

  • Mentor local fundraising leads, offering hands-on advice and targeted coaching.

  • Foster cross-chapter collaboration, pairing peer mentors and sharing success stories and best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with Volt’s central fundraising & development team, aligning local and European goals.

Who You Are

  • Experienced (or interested in) fundraising, nonprofit development, or political organizing (consulting/project management experience is a big plus)

  • Exceptionally organized and reliable, you thrive on seeing a plan through from start to finish

  • Skilled communicator in English; comfortable with digital tools (Asana, Google Drive, Haiilo, Zoom, etc.)

  • Supportive team player who can coach, empower, and follow up across borders and cultures

  • Passionate about Volt’s mission for a stronger, more connected Europe
