Our social programme starts already on Thursday and connects two uniquely linked capitals: Vienna and Bratislava: a cross-border hub at the heart of the Schengen, where Austria, Slovakia and Hungary meet in everyday European life.
Across the weekend, you’ll meet Volt members from all over Europe, build new friendships, and experience summer on the Danube through a mix of social, cultural, and political activities in a region shaped by different histories and perspectives from East to West.
From morning swims in the Danube, runs, and city tours to pub quizzes, wine tasting, political debates, and an interactive European Parliament simulation... there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the iconic boat trip from Vienna to Bratislava with Volt “speed dating”, turning the journey itself into part of the experience.
Evenings will bring us together at the Danube riverside in Bratislava for open-air gatherings, music, food, views of Bratislava Castle, and conversations that last late into the night.
