EUR General Assembly Co-Coordinator (male/diverse)

The position
Our EUR General Assembly Co-Coordinators are jointly responsible for managing the planning and execution of large scale European General Assemblies by providing the necessary guidance and support from the European level. In addition to your fellow co-coordinator, you will work closely with the European General Secretaries’ Office, the Events co-leads, and the GA host chapters in this role.
Key responsibilities and duties
Consolidating and managing an independent team of ~10 volunteers responsible for the delivery of EUR GAs
Meeting established milestones and proactively working towards reaching these
Developing and taking ownership of a project plan for upcoming GAs
Proactively liaising and collaborating with the host chapter(s)
Regularly communicating with and reporting to the EUR Events co-leads
Professionalising the GA organisation process by, amongst others, identifying learnings from previous GAs and documenting the work conducted
Experience and Skills
Required:
High motivation to work for the European level
Sharp organisational skills to lead volunteers, maintain existing structures, and manage a varied portfolio of tasks
An awareness of inclusion issues (particularly accessibility and diversity) to create events for all Volters
Intercultural communication skills to keep relevant teams up to date and enhance collaboration
Team-oriented leadership skills
Pragmatic and problem-solving attitude
A spirit of entrepreneurship and initiative
Assets:
Event organisation or project management experience
Team management experience
Experience within Volt
Practical information
Start date: 01.08.2024 (negotiable).
Workload: 5-15 hrs per week (depending on the time of year and upcoming events).
Compensation: Volt Europa is a volunteer movement with limited resources, that for now, cannot provide compensation. Whenever travelling is required, expenses will be reimbursed.
Location: No particular location is required. You will mainly work from the location of your choice.
Reporting to: Sami Jaber and / or Kim Roskam, Events Co-Leads of Volt Europa.
