Elected Officials Office: EO Handbook Editor
The Elected Officials Office supports all Volt mandate holders (Elected Officials) across Europe with coordination and liaison, internal and external communication, policy, and other key deliverables.
The Elected Officials’ Office: The EUR Elected Officials Office is there to support and connect all Volt Elected Officials across Europe. We connect Volt Elected officials across borders and levels, city, regional, national, and European, together and support coordination with the party. We facilitate and improve the communication and coordination of Volt's elected officials and maintain communication and working relations between all of Volt’s Elected Officials, the European Board, country chapters with Elected Officials, and other functional teams, mainly policy, communications and tech.
Purpose of the position: The Elected Officials Office is working on a Volt Elected Officials Handbook. This is a large pan-European effort to create a handbook that will guide our EOs and our Association and Movement in ‘Volt’s way of doing politics’. The entire Volt membership will vote upon this handbook in November 2025. There is broad participation throughout the organisation, with our current EOs in the lead. To make sure we end up with the best version possible, the EO Handbook Editor will translate input into clear and comprehensible text and make sure the handbook is consistent and in line with other current (binding) Volt documents.
As an EO Handbook Editor in the European Elected Officials Office, you will have the following tasks:
You will translate input into comprehensible text
You will ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency in the handbook.
What we are looking for:
English is the primary working language, and multiple languages is an advantage;
Likes editing work and turning input into a coherent document
Copyediting and proofreading abilities.

Hours: approx. 1-4 hrs per week, flexible schedule
