What will you do?

As a member of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) team, you will:

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of Volt Europa’s data protection policies in compliance with the GDPR and other relevant legislation.

  • Handle data subject access requests and other privacy-related inquiries.

  • Assist in drawing up joint controllership agreements and similar documents.

  • Collaborate with Volt Europa’s internal teams and European branches to ensure consistent data protection standards.

  • Help train others on data protection best practices.

  • Monitor regulatory developments in data privacy and suggest necessary updates to our policies.

What we’re looking for

  • Familiarity with the GDPR and European data protection frameworks.

  • Experience working in or studying data protection, compliance, legal or related fields is highly desirable but not compulsory.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex data protection concepts in simple terms.

  • Detail-oriented, responsible and proactive approach.
    Fluency in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.

  • Commitment to Volt Europa’s values of transparency, democracy and citizen empowerment.
