About DefCom
The DefCom organizational team operates with a clear, shared structure that enables collaboration, ownership, and focus. This entire structure is designed to ensure that each volunteer can contribute in a manageable way. Together, we strive to make politics engaging and accessible for all our members, ensuring their ideas and visions reach Volt’s elected officials.
DefCom is led by two Co-Chairs who are responsible for coordination, strategy, and representation. The community consists of three subteams — Community Building & Expansion, Substantive Support, and Advising Elected Officials — and is thematically structured around three topic clusters:
Command and Control (2 moderators)
Cooperation and Integration (2 moderators)
Whole-of-Society Approaches (2 moderators)
