How does ANICom contribute to society?
By sharing expertise and collaborating across borders, ANICom helps advance integrated, science-based policies that safeguard animal wellbeing, protect ecosystems, and align with broader environmental, public health, and justice goals.
The Community focuses, among others, on positive welfare standards for kept animals, the revision of the European animal welfare legislation, alternatives to animal testing, human–wildlife coexistence, and nature conservation policies.
