PIE is Volt’s Progressive Internationals in Europe Community, uniting people who are committed to strengthening international engagement and progressive politics across Europe. The Community provides a platform for connection, collaboration, and participation in English, enabling people from all backgrounds, EU citizens and non-EU citizens alike, to actively engage in Volt’s activities.

How does PIE contribute to society?
PIE contributes to society by promoting progressive politics across Europe and fostering cross-border participation through the use of English as a common working language. The Community supports Volt members at the local level by organising English-speaking events and initiatives that make political engagement more accessible to international residents. In many countries, non-national residents can vote in local elections, and PIE works to empower them to participate actively in democratic processes. Through its activities, the Community strengthens inclusion, encourages international membership growth, and enhances collaboration across Volt’s European network.
