❓ General Process Questions

Q: Is this really not linked to my salary?

A: Yes, absolutely. We have moved to a "Dual-Track" system.

  • Track 1 (September): Performance & Salary Review (Done by your supervisor, focused on KPIs/Tasks).

  • Track 2 (December/January): 360 Feedback (Done by peers, focused on Behaviors/Soft Skills).
The data from this 360 form is for you and your professional development plan. It is not provided to the Board for budget decisions.

Q: Is the feedback anonymous?

A: No. The form collects your email address.

Why? The goal of this process is to foster a culture of open dialogue. Anonymous feedback often leads to vague comments that cannot be clarified. By knowing who said what, the receiver can reach out to say, "You mentioned I should speak up more in meetings—can you give me an example of when I missed an opportunity?"

Q: Who sees my feedback?

A:

  1. The Recipient: To learn and grow.

  2. HR/People Team: To administer the process and identify organization-wide training needs (e.g., "Everyone needs training on Conflict Resolution").

  3. The Supervisor (Optional): The recipient may choose to share their Individual Development Plan (IDP) with their supervisor to get support, but the raw feedback forms are primarily for the individual.

Q: I don't feel comfortable answering a specific question. What should I do?

A: Use the "I don't know" option.

In the previous system, people felt forced to rate colleagues on things they hadn't seen. The new form explicitly includes "I don't know" as a valid answer. Please only rate behaviors you have actually observed.

Q: I have too many requests! How do I prioritize?

A: We estimate each form takes 15-20 minutes. If you receive more requests than you can manage (e.g., >5), please prioritize:

  1. People you work with daily.

  2. People who specifically asked for your mentorship.

  3. Feel free to politely decline others by saying: "I don't think I've observed your work closely enough this cycle to give high-quality feedback."

🛠️ Technical & Form Questions

Q: What is the "Start, Stop, Continue" method?

A: Instead of 15 scattered open-ended questions, we now ask three high-impact questions:

  • START: What is missing? What new habit would help them?

  • STOP: What is getting in their way? What creates friction?

  • CONTINUE: What are their superpowers that they should double down on?

Q: Can I edit my response after submitting?

A: No, to ensure data integrity, submissions are final. If you made a significant error, please contact [email protected].

Q: What happens after I submit?

A: The recipient will receive your feedback in January. They may reach out to you for a "coffee chat" to better understand your perspective. This is a positive sign that they are taking your input seriously!
