What you will do:
Some examples of tasks at the General Secretary’s Office are:
Academy: Facilitating workshops and trainings for Volt members, such as leadership programmes, EU masterclasses or supporting the setup of our e-learning system ILIAS
Chapter Relations: Supporting national, regional and local Volt teams through the established channels, liaising between them and European teams, ensuring bidirectional support and communication
Communications: Writing newsletters, speeches, internal communications and social media posts.
Community & Policy: supporting our Community and Policy teams and structures across Europe, and helping our European thematic communities with their events and cross-border projects
Event Planning: Writing stage plans, coordinating requests from guest speakers, briefing volunteers being on point for the run of show and having a big stake at how these events come to life
Integrity: Help keep Volt honest. Supporting the Integrity Bodies in the organisation means making the systems behind accountability actually work.
Legal and Governance: You can help shape the rules Volt runs on. You'll help write and update our statutes and internal regulations, and jump into projects with all sorts of legal angles.
Campaigns: Supporting the European campaigns team with their ongoing projects: ECI campaigns and several local and national elections throughout Europe
Partnerships: Helping the team grow and develop their initiatives across Europe
Volunteer Engagement: Improving volunteer engagement and retention across Europe. Coordinating monthly functional teams meetings, monthly European general secretaries meetings and European community meetings.

Communication skills: at Volt Europa you will deal with professionals and volunteers from all backgrounds and all corners of Europe. An inclusive and constructive mindset combined with solid communications skills are therefore required as well as cultural sensitivity.
Working independently and self-motivated: we provide a large amount of freedom. This means you are in charge of your own schedule and will have to plan accordingly.

Fine with flexible hours. Volt runs largely on volunteers, so there's no strict nine to five. We're aiming for 38 hours a week, evenings included, which also means mornings can be yours. Flexibility matters more than a fixed schedule.
Able to hit deadlines even when the schedule's a bit fluid.
Currently in the final stretch of an undergraduate degree, or doing a Master's.
Practical Details
An internship allowance of €550 gross p/m for a full-time contract for 6 months.
2 days off / month
