Europe United Bratislava - Public Action GA
The pan-European movement Volt Europa is organising a public march and rally to call for "Europe, United" in Bratislava on the evening of Saturday, 13 June.
Hundreds of proud Europeans -- including elected officials, civil society leaders and activists -- coming from across Slovakia and 27 European countries will cross the mighty Danube, which flows through 10 countries from Germany to Romania. The march will arrive at a stage on the city's right bank of the Danube, with a view highlighted by Bratislava Castle and SNP Bridge -- symbols of security and connection.
The mood will be a European festival vibe, with flags, sights and sounds from across Europe. All proudly European Slovaks are welcome to attend, regardless of their political affiliation.
From the stage, between 18.00 and 19.00, will be a programme of short speeches and music. The speeches -- each no more than 3 minutes long -- will highlight different aspects of how Europe impacts local communities.
