Co-Lead Volunteer Activation Team
Role Overview
The Volunteer Activation Team acts as the operational filter and guide for members seeking active roles within Volt Europa. As Co-Lead, you manage the team responsible for processing these volunteers. You do not process every candidate yourself; your role is to ensure the team executes this workflow efficiently, maintains standards, and reports on progress.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage, train, and support the Volunteer Activation Team members. Ensure they have the resources and clear instructions needed to execute their tasks.
Workflow Oversight: Oversee the process where team members guide candidates. This includes ensuring candidates who have not yet completed their National Onboarding are correctly identified and directed to the appropriate national processes by your team.
Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Volt Europa HR Co-Leads. Provide data on team performance, recruitment metrics, and potential blockers.
Tool Management: Maintain the digital infrastructure (forms, trackers) used by the team to ensure data accuracy.
Required Skills & Competencies
Digital Proficiency: High comfort level with remote work tools is mandatory. You must be proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs) and Asana. Familiarity with other project management or database tools is a strong asset.
Management Capability: Ability to lead a remote team, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor output without micromanaging.
Process Discipline: You can maintain structure in a fluid volunteer environment.
Organisational Knowledge: You understand Volt Europa’s structure well enough to resolve escalations from your team members regarding candidate placement.
Requirements
Membership: You must be a current member of Volt Europa. Familiarity with the organisation is a strict prerequisite.
Availability: Ability to commit approximately 6 hours per week, with flexibility to handle peak periods.
Diversity & Inclusion Statement
Volt Europa values diverse leadership. We explicitly encourage women and non-binary candidates to apply. Research shows that men often apply when they meet only 60% of the criteria, while women and non-binary individuals tend to apply only when they meet 100%. If you meet the core requirements (Membership + Tech Skills) and are motivated to lead, please apply.
