EU Campaign Team Co-Lead (m/d)
Do you want to help build a truly pan-European political movement and shape the campaigns that bring our vision for Europe to life? Are you experienced in turning political ideas into compelling campaigns, bringing people together across countries and cultures, and turning ambition into action? Do you thrive in a fast-moving environment, enjoy experimenting and learning, and have the creativity, strategic thinking and determination to mobilise people around a cause? Then join Volt Europa as our EU Campaign Co-Lead and help us build campaigns that inspire people, grow our movement and bring a stronger European voice to citizens across Europe.
Do you want to contribute to Europe's future?
Volt stands for a united and federal Europe, where everyone has equal opportunities to fulfil their unique potential. We strive to achieve the highest human, environmental, social, and technological development together. We are a pan-European political movement with 200 elected representatives across Europe, including 5 members of the European Parliament, over 30,000 members and hundreds of volunteers who work hard to make our vision a reality.
Volt is an inclusive movement that wants to provide space for everyone to thrive. We believe the power of diversity achieves better results for our society at large. We can only be the inclusive political movement we aspire to be, if we represent different voices and perspectives in our society. Your skin colour, gender identity, disabilities, sexual orientation or religious belief do not matter. You are welcome in our organisation, and we want to work together with you to create a better Europe for everyone.
What will you do?
As EU Campaign Co-Lead, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering Volt Europa’s European campaigns. You will work with people across the movement to turn our political priorities into campaigns that engage citizens, mobilise our members and volunteers, and strengthen Volt as a pan-European political force. You will:
Develop and lead EU-level campaign strategies: Turn Volt’s political priorities into clear campaign objectives, messages and actions. Identify the audiences we want to reach, define how we can mobilise them, and develop campaign strategies that work across different European contexts
Build campaigns from idea to action: Lead the development and delivery of campaigns from the initial idea through to implementation and evaluation. Set priorities, create timelines, coordinate people and resources, and make sure campaigns keep moving from strategy to concrete action
Coordinate and empower volunteers: Build and support campaign teams made up of volunteers, members and other contributors across Europe. Create clarity around roles and responsibilities, delegate effectively, support people in developing their skills, and create an environment where people feel ownership of the campaign and want to contribute
Bring national chapters together around European campaigns: Work closely with national and local chapters to ensure that European campaigns can be adapted to different political and cultural contexts while maintaining a shared European direction. Listen to the needs and perspectives of chapters and make use of existing structures rather than creating unnecessary parallel processes
Develop compelling campaign messages and creative concepts: Work with campaign, communications and creative teams to translate political ideas into messages, stories and calls to action that people can understand, relate to and act on. Ensure that campaigns speak to different audiences while remaining coherent with Volt’s vision and values
Test, measure and improve: Define clear objectives and indicators of success for each campaign. Use data, feedback and experimentation to understand what works and what does not, and adapt the campaign accordingly. Share learnings across the movement so that each campaign makes the next one stronger
Coordination with chapters: Work closely with national and local chapters to develop and deliver European campaigns that can work across different political, cultural and organisational contexts. Support chapters in adapting the campaign to their local reality while keeping a shared European direction and message. Build on existing structures, knowledge and networks across Volt rather than creating unnecessary parallel processes, and make sure chapters have the clarity, tools and support they need to take ownership and turn European campaigns into local action
Build campaign capacity across Volt: Strengthen our campaigning culture across Europe by developing tools, processes and ways of working that help volunteers and chapters run effective campaigns. Share what works, learn from what doesn’t, and make sure the experience and knowledge gained from each campaign strengthens the next one
What skills do you need to excel in this role?

Strategic thinking & political awareness: You understand how political campaigns work and can identify the audiences, messages, opportunities and risks that matter. You can connect the bigger political picture with the practical decisions needed to make a campaign successful
Mobilising and inspiring people: You know how to bring people together around a shared goal and create the energy needed to turn ideas into action. You are comfortable working with volunteers and can motivate people with different skills, levels of experience and availability
Leadership & mobilisation: You know how to bring people together around a shared goal and motivate volunteers and teams to take action. You are comfortable leading people who may not report directly to you, creating clarity, delegating effectively and empowering others to take ownership

Creative & experimental mindset: You are curious and willing to try new approaches. You are not afraid to test ideas, learn from what does not work and change course when the evidence suggests a different approach
Understanding of the European political landscape: You have a strong interest in European politics and understand the opportunities and challenges of campaigning across different European countries. You are curious about different political and cultural contexts and can translate this understanding into effective campaign decisions
